ON THE BLOG AGAIN

I know you haven’t heard from me in a while, and I apologize for my neglect, but at least I have a good excuse this time. I mean, I wouldn’t really call moving everything out of your bus and packing up all your worldly -ahem, important- belongings into a suitcase and backpack so you can move into a van and trailer for three months while your home is in the shop for repairs ‘normal circumstances’.
Anyway, I decided to take some time out of my busy schedule to blog again, because this blog is the only way my writing ever gets published and viewed by an actual audience. Hopefully, that will change someday, but until it does I will be content with writing for all of you.
I would like to take this time to give a shout-out to our good friends, the Millers, who graciously invited us to stay in their home while we were in Titusville, Florida, a few weeks ago. I would also like to thank our cousins, Dave and Erin, and my Uncle Brandon and Aunt Shana, for opening up their homes to us, as well as another dear friend of ours, Sohnie Corder, with whom we are currently staying. All of you have been such a wonderful blessing to us as we continue on our pilgrimage.
For all of you out there that have been praying for our family down through the years, I want you to know how much we appreciate your prayers, love and support. We wouldn’t be where we are today if not for your prayers, our faith, and the grace of God, so thank you all so much.
Now despite popular belief, nine people practically living in a van and trailer isn’t a nightmare. Actually, depending on your point of view, it could be considered as more of an adventure. At least, that’s what I see it as. Sure, you don’t get your own personal space, but even on a bus you really don’t have much of that to start with. My point is, even though we don’t have all the convenience of living in our actual home where everything is familiar to us, life is still good. We have done without before and the Lord has always provided what we need when we need it, not always what we want, but always what we need. And anyway, we really don’t have all of our ‘modern conveniences’ when we go to Uganda either, but somehow we survive way out there in the middle of nowhere in places where they have no clue what a recliner or a jacuzzi tub is. (Not that we have recliners or jacuzzi tubs on our bus. Although that would be pretty awesome.) The point is this:

But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. -Philippians 4:19

And He has. Thanks again for all your love and prayers. You’ll probably be hearing from me again soon, but until next time may God bless you all richly.
