The reason for my title today would lie in the fact that many of you reading this have already received this information elsewhere. In that case, this is for the less informed parties who have been asking all the questions.
The drain came out on Monday, as planned and everything was looking good. After a final inspection on Wednesday, I was given leave to travel again. We met with the family at a Cracker Barrel in Pennsylvania on Friday, (we being myself, mother, and two good friends, the Napiers, who volunteered to drive us to Pennsylvania from Michigan.) and sang Saturday night and also Sunday morning. There are certain things in life that shouldn’t be done unless absolutely necessary, singing while sitting in a chair is one if those things. Not only does it drastically impair breath support, it does no great wonders to staying on pitch. Regardless, I am doing well, the pain is not the worst I’ve been in, and the wound is healing much quicker than I imagined it would. The stitches will be removed in a week, unfortunately the day after is a photo shoot for the cover of our new hymns CD. On the flip side, my “Likeliness to Have a Major Accident in Involving the Left Ankle” statistics have been reset. Until next time, Jared Allen signing off.
