Road Trip

I find myself presently in a 15 passenger van. The reason for this being, my home is in the shop for refurbishing and repairs, but, I’m sure you already know this. Traveling has been very different for the past month. What with being lower to the ground than normal and having considerably less space on a general scale, suffice it to say, its been… Interesting. My writing colleague has, no doubt given you the particulars on the entirety of the situation. And though our styles of writing greatly differ, it would be redundant for me to expound upon this subject any further. We’re just leaving Florida now and are on our way to Arizona by way of Tennessee and Missouri, which, assuming you’re a southern gospel music artist, is a perfectly straight line. My aunt and a portion of my mother’s side of the family lives in Tennessee so we’ll stay over at some of their houses. It’s like a three month sleepover. I’m not overly fond of “sleepovers” but, hey, if this is how it’s gonna be for the next month or so, I might as well learn to enjoy it. If you’ll allow this post to take a different turn, I’d like to answer an unasked question. Some of you may be wondering what I’m going to do now that I have graduated, well, here is my answer. Many of you know that I have a love for writing, this interest has started me on my first “official” book. I am a great distance into the writing of the book and will alert you at it’s completion. Along with my writings I have also an interest in sound designing and engineering and have several resources I am delving into for that. My curiosity has found many a skill it wishes to learn and many a project to undertake, which I’m sure will keep me busy for many years. And as always, until God calls me elsewhere, I will continue to sing with the family. I know this post has been short-ish, and as much as I like filling you in on everything that’s going on, I’m not sure either of us have time. It’s been good to be back. Until next time, this is Jared Allen, signing off.
