I can’t say that I ever remember a time when the Allen Family went up to the Northern country to avoid the cold, but folks -as ridiculous as it sounds- that’s exactly what we’re doing. It’s been nonstop snow ever since we arrived in Springfield, Missouri, (which for those of you who don’t know is right next door to Branson), last night and we’ve been sitting in a church parking lot chilling, (literally), for quite some time now. However it has been fun. We got out in the snow and played for a while last night and came back in the bus soaked through, tracking snow and water all up the steps, (the steps I had just cleaned that morning). We also made snow cream, which is one of our favorite desserts made with snow. Actually, it’s the only dessert we make with snow. :)
Pretty much the only ingredients needed are snow and a can of sweetened condensed milk. Since these instructions are not specific as we never do the same thing twice, you’ll just have to be good at guessing amounts.
So all you really do is add sweetened condensed milk to the snow and mix it in with an electric beater until the balance is right. Then you should probably eat it quickly before it melts. :)
Anyway, although snow is fun, it can also be dangerous, especially when you add ice into the equation, so please keep us in your prayers as we travel up to Indiana this week, that we’ll have a safe journey up there. Y’all have a blessed week.
